Task Talent Recruitment Ltd (“Task Talent”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
Why you're receiving this notice
You are receiving this notice because we hold, or have contacted you using, business contact information about you that we did not collect directly from you. This is most likely because you are, or appear to be, a decision-maker at a company we have identified as a potential recruitment client.
The personal data we process about you
- Your name and job title or role
- Your business telephone number and/or business email address
- The name and details of the company you work for
- Notes relating to any contact we have had with you
We do not collect special category data (such as health, religious, or ethnicity information) about business contacts, and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Where this data comes from
We source business contact data from publicly accessible sources only: job posting and company data via the Reed and Adzuna job board APIs; company information via the Companies House API; publicly listed business details found via web search; and the publicly listed contact page or details on your employer's own website. We do not access this information by bypassing any login, paywall, or technical access restriction.
We also verify telephone numbers against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) before making any call, so we don't contact numbers registered as opted out of direct marketing calls.
Why we process this data, and our lawful basis
We process your business contact information to identify and approach companies who may benefit from our recruitment services, and to arrange and conduct business development conversations with appropriate decision-makers.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — specifically, our legitimate interest in reasonable, well-governed business-to-business marketing and sales outreach. We've assessed that this interest is not overridden by your rights and interests, given the business (not personal) nature of the data, your likely expectation of being contacted in a professional capacity, and the safeguards on this page. This assessment is recorded in our internal Legitimate Interests Assessment, a summary of which is available on request.
How we contact you
We may contact you by telephone, email, or LinkedIn.
- Any call will clearly identify us and will never withhold Caller ID
- Any email will clearly identify the sender and provide a means to opt out
- Any LinkedIn contact is made manually by a person — never by automated or bulk-messaging tools
Who we share your data with
We may share your business contact information with our approved technology providers who support our systems (including our CRM and recruitment platform providers), our contractors engaged to conduct business development outreach on our behalf, and, where legally required, government or regulatory authorities. Our contractors are contractually required to handle your data in line with this notice and our data protection obligations.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including UK adequacy regulations, International Data Transfer Agreements, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable.
How long we keep your data
- Sourced but not contacted, or no response: deleted within 12 months of sourcing.
- You engage with us: retained up to 6 years, in line with standard business record-keeping.
- You ask us to stop: kept on our suppression list for as long as we run outbound contact activity — solely so we don't contact you again.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, or to be added to our suppression list, email privacy@tasktalentrecruitment.co.uk. We normally respond within one month.
